JOHNSTON'S CLUTCH HIT LIFTS COLTS PAST FEATHER RIVER

A two-run triple in the bottom of the eighth off the bat of Danial Johnston transformed a one run deficit into a 2-1 lead as the Colts held on to defeat previously unbeaten Feather River 3-1. Colts lefty Ray Torres went seven strong, giving up only one run - yet left the game trailing before Johnston's heroics. Dan Zamudio pitched a scoreless eighth and Brett Kilburg slammed the door in the ninth. Pierson Jeremiah went 3-4 at the plate for the Colts.
